Our words were forged in

The blood

Of our ancestors, and

Over my dead body will I let you

Silence Me and My Words.

I respect

Your Pain,

But you must respect

My Anger also.

Time and Time

Again

I have been told that

Q*eer is a slur,

As if it’s nothing but a Slur.

The same person conveniently

Forgetting

That g*y has been used in

The same manner;

That l*sbian has been seen

As a dirty word, a bad word;

That’s it’s those tr*nssexuals

Who ruin everything with their agenda.

Our words are not clean.

None of them.

So don’t try and

Bury

One as a dirty secret

And canonise another,

When

They have done the same thing,

Been used the same way.

I’m tired of it.

Tired of the same arguments,

The same fighting over and over.

We need to stop brawling

With each other,

And fight what actually matters.
