The Strings Attached That I Can't Accept

When I decided to love you

I realized I didn't have to

But continued to anyway

Now I have to get over you

Because I not only "don't have to love you"

I shouldn't

Now the sun shines and I hate it

Now my future sucks and I don't like it

I may as well end up hatin' that too

But I can never not love you

The way I want to not love you

You're perfect

But I'm just not stepfather material

I pray for some one to take my heart from you

But prayers don't get answered

When one prays them for themselves

So I may as well be in Hell

'Cause what's the difference?

I love you at your best

I love you at your worst

I love you and I can't stand

__how I want you

Maybe if I put a bullet in my head

Life can go on

And love from me to you I can allow

But I can't afford a gun

None of my friends will let me use theirs

I may as well go on that hunting trip

__that my homies keep asking me about

____and let them shoot me

______just like in the movies

But I got a lot to live for

Maybe I should forget about love

And save my money

And go buy a whore?

Thank you, piece of paper

I knew you'd gimme thee answer
