“The people you love become ghosts inside of you, and like this you keep them alive.”
? Rob Montgomery

Burdened by ghosts and haunted memories

The nostalgia is nauseating

But your voice echoes through the night

Healing waters fill the chasms and smooth out the rocky facade

Over time the edges fade,

And what was once a hollow soul

Becomes whole again

To face the light of another day

Love warm like the stream of sunlight upon your face

I reach out my hands

Searching for someone to embrace

Grains of sand slipping through my cold fingers

To create another shore.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my poem and for keeping up with my work. It may take me a while to post but I'm still writing I assure you! I'm glad this had an impact on you, I always want to leave my readers thinking and reflecting upon my work. I hope you keep on reading in the future!

Thanks I will! I’d also like it if you can check out my works too. I tried to make my last entry a bit like yours with a cool kind of ending line and would like some HONEST feedback on it
