“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.”
- Thomas Campbell

Immortal to the wrath of command

An eternity apart

Love trickling down, a lure

Sunken and asleep

Awakened by dawn's light

A whisper,

Flowing through the trees

Gone by morning light.

Lips part as dusk settles

Wading through the night sky

An elusive dream

And solace in silence.

Here is where the heart rests

Where the mind eases into slumber

In the stillness

To begin again another day.

A magical moment well expressed! The moment between day and night seems to have its power that we can explore. Eternity lies within.

Beautifully put! I agree entirely. The key to immortality lies within ourselves and the impact we leave on others. Thank you so much for the read and feedback. Hope you keep on reading my work in the future!
