Sir Cedric Prescott paces the study, nervously awaiting the return of James, his faithful servant, who has been sent out to find young Master Lawrence Prescott, who has been disappearing on nightly
walks. Tomorrow Master Lawrence is to marry a mysterious Rumanian princess whose family has established a summer residence nearby. The marriage is vital to restore the Prescott family fortunes.
Only James arrives with some disturbing news -- the princess is a werewolf, and has run off to the moors. This sets the stage for Act Two, a search for the princess.
