When I was younger,

I was good

When I was younger,

I knew right where I stood

When I was younger,

I was happy

When I was younger,

I wasn't snappy

When I was younger,

I was human

When I was younger,

I was more than a fusion

Of two adult's genes

That could see past her teens

I was more than I thought,

Eeger to be fought

For if I were wrong,

I would learn from a song

To sing cheerful notes

While pulling on my coats

To bounce off to school

Just to be treated like a mule

I was young, then

Not a worry in the world

I was young then,

My pain not yet unfurled

For I thought it was normal

To be bullied and pushed

For I though it was normal

To be constantly ambushed

I was told everyone

Had felt their own pain

I was told everyone

Went on without complain

I was told everyone

Fought their own battles

I was told everyone

Had their own chains to rattle

So I kept it inside

Not a cry out for help

So I kept it inside

No, not even a yelp

Until I had fallen

Completely forgotten
