Does Anyone Else Get Tired
Does anyone else get tired
To the point that you don’t give a shit
So sad that you’d just as soon throw in the towel
And cry out to the cosmos I QUIT
When depression rears its ugly countenance
When apathy holds onto its gain
This is the time for patience and temperance
I’d pass on a pound of indifference
In favor of a teaspoon of pain
Feeling anything is better than feeling nothing at all
The numbness clouds the soul and the mind
Neither mountain nor ocean
Can rival human emotion
In our secular nature resides the divine

The first four lines put perfectly in to words how I often feel. Excellent poetry, SB.

Yeah. Right now I’m just a little out of it. I’m still “writing” like a mad fool...and “Ending Times” gave me that writer’s sense of satisfaction that I don’t often achieve these days. But yeah, tired...physically, emotionally, spiritually... I know that hope exists somewhere out there. Right now I think it’s just over the horizon.
