What You See

You like to think you know him,

that you see him as he is,

but what you see is a performance

worthy of far more than an Oscar.

But wait...

it could be that I am wrong;

that the fake persona

is one played just for me.

I am, after all,

undeniably a captive audience.

You think you know me?

Well, think again.

For me, I am nothing;

nothing at all.

A great poem, Hully, a poem I feel 50/50 about but a well written one.
