For a time of death in our faces...

old and not wondering

I sit without pondering

tomorrow is a dream

I once slept

age has no reason

in life as is lived

rocking chair comfort

requires meaning

when I fall I am old

directed but bold

to hit the floor not weeping

existence as comfort holds me

as I go into the unknown

In the moments before deaths embrace

I will remember

how I fell from the rocking chair

and all managed to make sense.
