short poem

Lapwings flying up unexpectedly

In a random dance

Cavorting on the breeze

Like unruly kites

Then taking off in different

Directions across the moor

Leaving me to wonder

About you saying perhaps

Our relationship should go

In different directions too.

I like that your poem really captured that feeling of moving in directions and then at the very end shared why that's the case. It really built it up nicely and it was great to read.
