Monster

Her own darkness consumed her,
she tried keeping it together.
She thought she would get better,
but she should’ve fought harder.

She gave up on her own fight,
she stopped following the light.
And that one faithful night,
is was a deal that changed her life.

A frozen heart inside her chest,
saying it would be for the best.
Emotions are nothing but pests,
which made her life an utter mess.

She’s extremely broken,
wounds were left open.
Darkness inside was awaken,
words that were left unspoken.

The pain that she hid changed her,
as it turned her into a monster.
And now it’s dragging her further,
until she gets buried six feet under.
