Inspired by online writing sites like Booksie, this short story is of opportunity and change.

It was a land of hedgerow rolling hillsides, flowering meadows and dark cloud filled silver linings.

A place where pots of gold  lost their glittering enchantment, and dust was met as stars.

Here Leprechans were met as me and we became friends.

The final dragon named fame still flew above, but his flame was less than deadly.

And in many ways, it was here that what was forbidden desire met its ending.

The castle was without a moat, a drawbridge or imperious throne.

Inside its walls, all could be king, queen or jester, met as forever character.

A thought written, sent and posted upon a pole heraled what was.

Within restless hearts it was known as the castle upon the ground.

 I still inhabit the basement.

It is a common placement for those who dream.

Of upward staircase, commas before periods, and comments which don't always please...

and I have found in my's a very fine space for me.
