A very odd and weird, I say it lightly, poem, about being stuck in the desert!

Engulfed in the sandy sea, it's all around me.

I'm surrounded by this domain.

It's a vortex, no way out, the walls go on for infinity.

Where is the way out?  There is no escape.

I'm trapped, clawing, crawling, weeping with no tears to show.

Nowhere to go.

Every way I look, it's all the same.

Hot winds chap my face, the sun beats down hammering me into the burning sand.

I see shadows floating around me.

I squint to the sky, not knowing why they appear.

They're huge birds, circling the air.

I do not know their purpose but they bother me so.

Finally, in the distance, I see a shimmer of water.

An oasis to save me from the heat and the waiters.

Further and further I travel to get to this bliss, then realise I'm seeing the end, the abyss.

I can't take this anymore.  I lay on my back and look towards the beautiful blue.

The birds have landed, I say my last truths.
