Finally you're here with me
Quarantined.
everpresent and reliable as the mailbox
I stare at desolately through lidded blinds
that can't obscure the too bright light
flooding, flooding through the kitchen window
and the monotony
but you're here
everpresent and ever taking up too much space
and too little
My breathe fogging the window
the droplets gathering
I hate you
mailbox fixture
everpresent and unchanging
a reminder of the love I found
and lost
