I spoke until I spoke too loudly, and when I did a knife was wedged between my ribs, through my heart, and down to my stomach. I woke up in a confused and jaded state, as I heard a loud bang from the tin door that sits across from my room. I heard stillness, and then the tap and drag of a slipper across the tiled floor. I was startled with fear and panic as I wondered what I could do, I looked around seeing nothing but a whirl as I fondled whatever rested on my bedside table. It was 3 o'clock in the evening, and I was afraid; but not of being attacked, I was afraid of being found in the state that I was in. An hour later the same thing happened, then an hour after that, I awoke. There's tiredness that can strike me at any moment, but I took a long and thorough shower, and then I cleaned anything that was amiss.
