A poem by Tebogo Mogashoa addressing fathers l ho abondon their children.

I never chose to be like this

I never chose to be a burden in your life

If I had known I would disgust you,I would have pleaded to the gods to not bring me to life

Why bring me to life to neglect me?

Why bring me to life to abandon me?

Money resolves none

Well at least not to me

All I ever needed was your dearly love

All I ever needed was your protection

All I wanted was your shield

Being born out of wedlock brought me sorrows

You called yourself my King but did not fulfill your duties

You claim to love me but fail to show it

You left me with a Queen who needed you more than I did

When you left,

She fell I apart and I had to pick her up

I had to grow up and become her protector

I had to become her King!

It's okay, you can stay where you are

I hope you're happy wherever you are

I'm better off without you......

Why me?Why Leave?Why Run?

Man Up!

I became my own King and never been prouder
