I always found beauty in sadness. This poem is up to open interpretation :)

Can they pull strings of stardust, out of nothing?
If they squeeze their minds hard enough
And try not to blink

To force words to dance across the page
To stack them up, to fire away
So connotations can swarm out of this cage

Can we conjure dreams of pinkish hues
Like God’s magic paintbrush at every waking hour
breathing life into fantasies she drew
Will they even come true?

In a tangled broken mess, caught in a protest
she lays in distraught
Cursing her ambition and naiveness
They’re far too big for a person so small…

Let the stardust collapse, let it fall
Let it heave a sigh of relief
Of the brilliance it once was.
