For Dear Bart

Emily Cry lives in the sky,

On Water Witch Way at a bend in the day.

Crack an egg on your head,

The yolk runs down all over your gown.

Criss-cross, applesauce,

Now do you have the chills?

Beautiful Bart lives by the park,

On a field of green at the in between.

Spiders crossing up your back,

They tickle your skin and make you grin.

Cool breeze, tight squeeze,

Now you’ve got the shiverees!

Consider the plight of Rosemary Riddle,

Thin at both ends and bowed in the middle.

Spry as a song and fit as a fiddle,

She spends her days busking a little,

Cold night, lamplight

Now your strings are frozen piddle!
