‘You know what some parents do that I really resent?
They ask their children to be better versions of themselves.
I mean, the nerve of these abusers.
Take a friend you’ve known since you were a kid, and he knows this particular movie you’re about to take in with him sucks to no end, but he sits there, reciting every line before you can even hear them.
You know, as if it’s the greatest thing he’s ever seen.
He knows it sucks, but he enjoys the fact that by the end of it all, you’ll have wasted as much of your life on this thing as he has.
Those types of parents are like bad sequels in a sh*t trilogy.’
