A woman may be born in a society that is dominated by the idea that a beautiful woman is the successful woman in her life, and that a less beautiful woman is a failed woman. Sarah's novel comes to refute this idea.

A cold morning

"What a morning!" This how Helen addressed herself while she was watching the cold sunlight creeping softly through the curtains of her window. It was eight o'clock in the morning when Helen woke up and looked at her side but did not find her husband, David. “Oh, as usual, he got up early and went to prepare breakfast himself”, she said.

In the kitchen David was preparing cheese sandwiches and two cups of tea when he saw Helen stand at the door and yawning. He said, "My dear, good morning," She sat and replied, “Good morning, David.” He gave her a sandwich and a cup of warm tea. Jokingly he said, "Oh my lazy cat, wouldn't you ever surprise me by preparing breakfast?!" she replied, “Why, as long as you prepare it yourself every morning.”

“But I want to taste breakfast made by your hands, no doubt it will have a special flavor”. Helen sipped tea and looked at David with naughty looks.

David quickly finished his breakfast and went to change his clothes while Helen was slowly eating her breakfast. David came back and stared into her eyes, then he said with great hesitation, "Helen, I have a 3-day work travel, please prepare your bags, tomorrow morning I will take you to your mother's house.” Coolly, Helen replied, "It's okay."

Helen was a young woman in her thirties, with blue eyes and black hair, she was very beautiful. David loved her, that beautiful, quiet young man. Then they married three years ago, he was sincere in his love for her, Helen also sincerely loved him, but she often did not care much about him, she treated him coolly as cold as that morning.

By the evening, Helen had finished preparing dinner and preparing her bags when David returned from his work, he said, “How tired I am today, dear, have you prepared dinner?”

"Yes, it's ready,” While they were eating dinner, Helen was watching TV. On the other hand David watched her bored, he said: "It was a busy day," Helen did not pay attention and continued eating and watch TV. David pulled his chair close to Helen and whispered into her ear, “Dear, it's great food, you're an excellent cook!" Helen said, “This is kindness from you “, she returned to watch TV, David was very disappointed and then silently continued eating dinner.

At ten in the evening, David was on his bed. Next to him, Helen was reading her favorite magazine. David was diving into a choppy sea of ideas taking him left and right. He was feeling a great deficiency in his life. He was watching Helen with great sadness, and then he approached her, putts his hand on her shoulder and asked her, "Have you prepared your bags."

"Yes, how much I miss my mother!" David smiled and said, “I will miss you a lot," Helen continued reading the magazine. David asked her, “Won’t you miss me? “She replied, "Oh David, stop, you're bothering me."?

Criss Sole

Helen seems a little cold and not returning her husband's affections.
Looks like there may be trouble in the marriage.
Good story.
