What's wrong?

I’ve tried to figure out what’s wrong with our president, why he’s so spiteful and self-centered, and why he resonates with some people. I think he’s the symbol of some in the American electorate; selfish, greedy, and unaware of it. He’s a logical extension of the mood of some voters, and the reason he’s accepted as just a straight-talking guy is because some of us only want to hear ‘what’s in it for me?’ In an inevitable way, he represents exactly the mood of some in this country, indeed the world, ‘I want it all, I want it now, and damn anyone who opposes me.’ Compromise is seen by some as weakness.

No, compromise is how our government is designed to work, and we’re seeing how disastrous it is to go against that. Unless some wake up and realize we’re speeding towards a brick wall, and I see no signs of that, the opposite in fact, a crash is inevitable.
