Hard to find light in the dark clouds of war,
The Battle For Hearts has been joined
Ominous, threatening, lightening crashes,
T. V. artillery arcs through the sky
to reveal a devastated landscape
A mad-man general leads from behind,
a master of puppets pulling our strings,
making others dance to his egotistical tune
Willing to sacrifice all to save himself
Democracy reduced to a means to his ends
Fear is his weapon, fear of him, fear of others,
fear of the future, with no thought of the past
Not learning from history is a game for fools,
but a game he fully intends to play

Trump knows no history, nor religion, despite his recent stunt brandishing a bible, which borders on the sacreligious. A powerful leader does not have the luxury to ignore history. Talk about solipsism.
