Just a poem.

Diverging Dreams

She dreams,

and he is a constant feature

of her imagination.

There’s a certain reality

even when her mind wanders;

apart from the obvious

never gonna happen’.

There’s no pedestal,

no idolizing,

just acceptance of him

as him.

He dreams,

of course he does,

for who doesn’t?

She knows he does not dream

of her.

Does it matter?

Sometimes it makes her shed a tear

but she’s always known

where she stands

and those dreams...

well, they simply diverge.
