Toxicity is all around us, but it doesn't mean we have to let it control us and how we view the world and people. It can always be overcome.

Toxicity

The blackness swells,

Trapping you in place,

Unable to wade through the sea of lies,

Unable to break free from the oncoming tide,

You can't talk,

You can't scream,

As the blackness covers you in debris,

You find yourself unable to breathe,

It covers you,

Controls you,

Until the light of truth shines on,

The cracks deepen into your skin,

Making you feel as if the whole world is in sin,

Fire arises within the smoke,

Making you unable to see what lies ahead,

You start to thrash,

You start to break free,

Only to see what is becoming of thee,

The darkness clings,

Trying to hold on,

You push and pull till everything's gone,

The sliver is there,

Waiting to grow,

Only you stomp on it so,

It can fight,

But so can you,

Fight till you finally breakthrough,

The darkness lingers,

But the light moves on,

Letting you know,

Not all is gone,

Truth is there,

Truth still breathes,

So let the truth set you free.
