Imagine being a dying breed that didn’t know your dying?

Imagine if your death throes went unheard,

the thrashing, lashings of a mortally-injured beast

Imagine a world that long ago passed you by

Imagine a new world that you cannot accept

You scream and rage against the dying of your light,

but you’ll die you shall

There seems to be a whole segment of society who simply cannot imagine anything apart from their next meal, their next drink and to hell with anyone else. Excellent as always, Mike.
