A writing that could be a poem, a story, an openion, a tribute and a thank that I don't know where to put it but Article.

As a note I own none of the mentioned social media account to decribe them in an objective way. I wrote what I know about them.

My World of Social Media vs. Booksie

I haven't time to even wash my face,
I wonder how I can play Facebook with grace.

I like to chat with my sister,
but I hate it when we fall into a Twitter.

I can't afford Instagram,
as my selfies had mysteriously crashed all my photo-booth programs.

I have no fans on TickTok,
as I'm unable to look funky enough like a teen when I walk.

Most stuff on the YouTube are funny,
but each time I use it my head goes fuzzy.

At work, people always come by to see me,
so I only use Line or WeChat as Walkie-Talkie.

Whatever else I haven't mentioned
are all way behind my brain's dimension.

If you ask me why am I on Booksie then?

I would say I can use it when I haven't washed or dressed up my face,
I don't have to selfie and mess around with my photos to pretend,
I can laugh with those funny writers without going totally insane,
I can interact in the forums without fussing about to be twitted or to twit,
and most of all, I can play treasure hunt for gems as a before-bed reading!

I scroll at random and pick
the titles, the pictures, the names or the topics
like how people would pick their numbers in lottery.

What I will find I will never know!

And there are prizes galore!

Eyes burning, tears dropping, or goose bumping,
jaw falling, heart plumbing, or nose snorting,
mouth rising, belly hugging, or sprit uplifting,
frowning, swearing, or compulsive finger typing;
of course the ideas inspiring and big Thanks giving!!

Sometimes I don't know the sun is up
till I wonder why my head is spinning.

Sometimes I have to force myself to sleep
before my eyes go completely blurry.

And then I would say Sorry to the words
that I have left behind and hope they can be seen again.

If I an angel could give me a magic wand or a wish,
I would stop the Earth from rotating and orbiting,
so I can have all the time to read at nights
and be led into some great authors' wonderlands
where I myself can't even dream of and never wake.

A fine take on the value and purpose of Booksie, Derina!

Yes, indeed. One good point about you is your comment! Simple. Direct. No invalidation. With understanding.

I feel the same about a lot of it, to be honest, Derina, although I am taking very tentative steps on Twitter.

I guess beside having no time to play them, I have no interest in those twit-twit either. Unless I want to use them for sepecifc purpose, I will.

A very good, humorous take on how social media has impacted our lives. I sometimes wonder what I did before the internet and all of this tech. Oh Yes! I spent a lot of time in libraries, lol. playing board games with friends, playing guitar, etc etc.
I sometimes wonder if all of this tech has stifled us as a species.
well done on a good, poem/biopic.

With the resent lockdown movement, "social activities" will mutate into different kind of creatures we have never seen before. The change or the technical evolution is inevitable, it will be pointless to resist against it, but we should well use it and learn not to fall into thier traps. And yes, those past memories are going to become each one treasure soon. Thank you very much CS for giving it a read.
