Bluebells

Shade

of blue

that seems

a unique hue

to these flowers

that hang and

dip their heads

in a silent song.

They grow scattered in forests,

in meadows, on verges, bringing with them

childhood memories of those bluebell woods.

Nice poem about a beautiful flower. Actually, have these flowers growing wild on our property.

Some years we have just a couple spring up. I guess it's thanks to the birds. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for reading, 88.

Thanks, Mike. There really were a lot of bluebells in the woods next to where I grew up.

I love to see the woods adorned by bluebells, an annual feast for the eyes. Lovely poem, Hullly, in its bell shaped glory!
