When the inspiration for writing this story came to me not once, but twice, I had no choice but to get on board and get busy.

Dear Jack,

I know it must be quite surprising hearing from me after all these years of no communication because of the way things ended between us. Honestly, It has never been my intention to contact you. The truth is, and I'm not going to sugarcoat this) I held resentment and bitterness towards you, Jack. I don't know what I ever saw in you. And this is because of the way you carried yourself. I always thought you growing up without a father would inspire you to want to be a better father to your children ( do what a father is supposed to do) and to never make the same mistakes that your biological father did of abandoning you. But sadly, you allowed your ego and other people's opinions to make you an unfortunate man, Jack. I say, every moment in a child’s life counts and you will one day regret allowing your inner demons to control you. The truth is, I never thought I'd come this far either( after you walked out) because being a single parent has been extremely hard but the beauty of it, is that it inspires me every day to wanna be good and do better. Now, I am not writing you this letter to belittle you or laugh at your misfortune, Jack. But as you already know, my journey began with sorrows, but me being blessed and highly favored by God has given me the strength and perseverance to continue adding the missing pieces to the puzzles of my life. Well, you may be a complete stranger to me at the moment, but I will always pray that God gives you the comfort that you need, and may God's protection always be with you.

Yours truly,

Rasa.
