The Return

by: María Alaín

I will see the crystal flowers again,

under the silent gaze of the moon.

People will wake up with the  "Ring- Ring" of  the clock

They will walk a thousand miles,

they will win ten thousand battles.

After crossing the desert with Moses,

they will discovered that the promised land only exists in the good hearts.

I would like to be an eagle to fly so high,

where so many sorrows are forgotten.

Make a sky with stars of hope.

The earth is our mother the sun is our father.

I feel that the fields will bloom soon.

The sun will cover our lives with hope.

I remember the time I walked barefoot.

I didn't  have to cover my  face to hide the fear of contagion.

Like a bee without a honeycomb our course have been disoriented

The night light fought with the bright moon.

God spoke to man and we replied:"Thy will be done"
