On a Clear Day

The Author’s Photography

Fall is coming, and the day is clear and crisp. I pick my way over the ragged rocks which lie along the river.

The sun dances off the water in crystal gems. There are dark pools close to the shoreline, display pieces of roughened driftwood.

The rocks which are immersed, are laden with lichen and rusty coloration.

Tiny saplings find soil sufficient for new growth. Life everywhere, and I enjoy tossing pebbles into the water.

Breathing the fresh atmosphere, and feeling gentle breezes on my face.
Aware winter is soon approaching, I must enjoy every moment.
