Stepping Out of Lockdown

The government says, now you can go
I take my first step out of the door
confused, I turn my head looking for the memory
of you that seems become long long ago

how are you
after three months of lockdown
a question I no longer dare to ask
an answer you no longer dare to know

Another fine poem, Derina, and it definitely feels strange to venture forth unto society!

Yes, I feel dreaded even, I think I am having autism now. That question. Please don't ask.

Yeah, I like this poem, but I'm staying in lockdown, other than to buy food and booze. And tobacco. I've been a recluse too long to rejoin the world. Nice sentiments.

Thank you very much fore reading Craig! Stay well. Bit of booze is okay, not too much.

You sum it up in a nutshell. Let us off the leash. Oh, all those people who thought I was a Martian are now talking to me again. So we'll all pretend it never really happened. Yeah, well, there're some idiots in my town I won't be talking to in a hurry.

Thank you very much. I think it is good to get back into society. It is not normal that we live in a isolated environment, that is what I think.

That's a classic line by the way: I THINK I'M HAVING AUTISM NOW! I know exactly what you mean.

Haha. I think many people would as well. I guess some Dr. will invent some 'sickness' such as post-covid syndromes or covid-blue etc after this lockdown.

The hoons are out in their cars again, someone's griped a voice around my head, oh for some peace and quiet Derina!

Understand what you mean, old people don't like noise. Me too. But I like noise at times.

It's certainly been the strangest of times. Excellent poem, Derina.
