Moonstruck
It’s dark.
Turning, I make out
the hands on the clock -
midnight.
That magical hour
when the moon sits
high in the sky,
a moment of bated breath
when the universe
seems motionless.
It is but a passing second
and yet, to me,
it seems so much longer
as I lie there -
moonstruck.

Reading your poem, you make the reader see the moon themselves. Very good.
