Her eyes slowly fluttered open, light and vision flowing into her eyes.

She looked around. Julie was sitting on the couch next to hers, face in her hands. Probably guilty, who knows. Selena was pacing around the room. She looked around and met Bethany's eyes.

"Bethany!" She cried, rushing to her side. Julie also rose up from her seat.

"Are you okay?"

Bethany nodded.

"How are you feeling?" Julie asked. She walked to the kitchen. "I will be back with some soup."

"I'm fine.. Just a little confused," Bethany replied.

Selena exhaled, relieved.

Bethany sat down. Her blonde hair fell down pass her shoulders, someone unbraided her hair.

"W-what time is it?" She asked.

"Seven in the morning," Selena replied. "You have knocked out for three days."

Bethany's eyes widened. She'd fainted for three days!

"How's everyone?"

Selena shrugged. "The same as usual," She stood up, and walked to the window beside the main door. "Just Nova, Alexa and Allie went finding some stuff; I don't know what they are up to."

Bethany looked around. The room was always cheerful with Emma around, but she wasn't seen anywhere.

"Where's Emma?" She asked.

Selena walked back to the couch and sat next to Bethany. "She's at one of her friend's house, practising archery, she said."

Bethany thought that was weird.

"How many days were she gone?"

Selena shrugged. "I did not count."

Bethany stood up.

"Whoa, where are you going? You aren't fully healed!" Selena gasped.

Bethany smiled. "I'm just going into my
room. Don't worry."

Bethany then ran upstairs, ignoring the looks Selena gave her. She panted as she arrived at her room. She opened it and jumped onto her bed.

It was suspicious. Why would Emma disappear in a few days? Why these days? Why can't it be next week? Or next month?

She sat down.

She walked to her desk and digged through her bag.

"Aha, this is what I am looking for," She brought a book out. 'Wolves Guide' by Alexander Harley. This small book she and Nova talked about. Alexa then gave Bethany one copy that Alexander himself signed.

Bethany ran her fingers on the black cover of the book. She opened it and flipped the pages until she found a page somewhere in the middle of the book.

She scanned the page, muttering the words written on the page.

"Werewolves form only on the days of full moon. They cannot control their doings. They are attracted to bite and attack on humans, but to animals they don't. Werewolves, to try and contain themselves, bite and wound themselves. It is very dangerous to get a werewolf's bite, it can infect and make the bitten one a werewolf."

Bethany pursed her lips. All of the signs were how Emma was.

"Beth!"

Bethany froze. It was Emma!

She swiftly hid the book under her pillow and smiled at Emma. "Oh, Emma, you're back!"

"Yea..." Emma looked hesitant. But her cheerful smile popped back on. "Ah, and Julie's calling you. She said you fainted for three days and she brought your soup."

Bethany observed Emma's face. Fresh scars were shown on her cheeks. Archery doesn't give out scars like that, doesn't it?

"Are you okay?" Emma asked, frowning. This made Bethany jump and went back to reality.
"I'm fine, I think this is just the side effects of the faint," Bethany blurted. It was not the effect, anyway.

Emma had the suspicious look on her face for a split second, but the cheerful smile hid them all.

"Come on, let's go!" Emma tugged on Bethany's arm.

The two went downstairs. Emma ran to Julie.

"Can I have some?" She squealed.

Julie snatched the bowl from her. "No, this is for Beth-" She saw Bethany walking to her. "Beth!"

Bethany raced to Julie and launched herself on a chair, barely falling.

Julie looked impressed.

She placed the bowl of soup carefully in front of Bethany and put a spoon in it, stirring the corn and carrot soup with the spoon.

Julie put a strand of her red hair behind her ear. "So, how are you feeling now?" She gave the spoon to Bethany.

"I feel better," Bethany replied, shoving a spoonful of soup into her mouth.

"Ah I see..."

Julie then turned around, wiping the utensils with a napkin.

"What happened when I fainted?" Bethany asked, slurping the rest of the soup.

Julie jumped. She turned around. "Well, when you fell at the doorstep that day, Selena screamed. She was so shocked her lips turned blue!"

Bethany gasped softly. She licked her lips and tapped her fingers on her chin.

Julie smiled weakly before sitting down in front of Bethany. "Then she carried you into the couch. Via and Al then rushed in, panicking because they lost sight of you." She paused to chuckle.

She opened her mouth to continue, but then Iviana, Alexa and Allie burst in.

"Bethany!"

They squished her in a big hug.

"Guys... Jules is telling me a story."

"A story? Rock it up!"

Julie rolled her eyes. "Okay.."
