Friendship

I thought of you as a friend,

always tried to have your back,

but I guess the way we see friendship

clashes.

And now, for a moment

my mind it thrashes;

for she showed me such disregard,

cut off, bluntly ignored,

made me feel like dirt on her shoe

and you knew that.

I didn’t expect to see you

singing her praises.

Instead of one middle finger held up at me

there now are two,

and say whatever you want

you cannot deny that one of those middle fingers

belongs to you.

Christy Writes

Betrayal stings even more when it's by someone you never imagined could do it. A sad but poignant write, Hully.

It's nothing that you've done or anything - but it is inspired by the actions of someone on Booksie.
