The Gentle Heart is no more mine

The glasses are emptied of Lilac Wine!

The candles are cold, the table is vacant

I’m waiting for him for his seat’s untaken!

The warmth of his touch will indeed, escape

The mourning coat- shall have to be draped!

The cries will be silent, the sobs won’t be heard

For he’s made a verdict and given his word!

My Peace has absconded, I’m unable to sleep

I miss him every moment, why he took his leave?

The room gets haunting when the night just falls

My phone doesn’t breathe- for it misses his calls!

All the heart-to-hearts travel in my mind

I get weak on my knees when the whole rewinds!

Keeping in brains, I was fragile to the core

He chose to leave and was seen no more!

How could he be- so cruel and cold?

How could it rust; his heart of gold!

O my Golden Heart, please come back soon

For my life is fading as a faintest moon!

My eyes are walking in search of his face

My quest’s a failure for I find no trace!

Where has he gone? The world is vast

How could I state, he was my last!
