My childhood has ended. What an awesome time it was
Written for a poetry challenge.

A childhood full of wonders with my friends and family
Has helped me with my future and with who I'll always be.
The world has been my oyster and the sky has had no end,
With adventure and excitement leading me to many friends.
From the pyramids of Egypt to the hills of Hong Kong,
From the mountains of the north to the forests of Saigon,
Jumping off of cliffs and bridges, letting out a shout.
I've always had my brothers there to come and help me out.
But now as I grow older, a new chapter must be scribed.
The past holds many memories of all the times I've vibed.
But the past is just that. Gone, passed, and cannot last.
I'm mourning all the friends I've left. My heart is at half mast.
The tears we've shed from these goodbyes leave soft spots in our hearts.
A disruption in our very lives as we are torn apart.
Before we really knew it, all the good old days were done,
But if life was all a game, then I think we might've won.

Both sad and positive all in one. Not easy to do, but you did an excellent job of it here, Bruvton.

I really enjoyed your poem and seeing all the awesomeness of childhood. It is really a very fun time, and a lot of good memories are made. It's almost bittersweet sometimes; childhood is wondrous, but there's also an exciting new chapter ahead. Great poem

Thank you so much, Archia! It definitely is strange to think about how much we change throughout the years.
