Another poem. Another day.

In error from former wreckage

Still walking through the damage

Still not ready to be proud of any of it.

Some have said to take it one day at a time, stay in the moment, and to thine own self be true..

To them I laugh and know that they have lived through their own losing chapters

In times of great rehabilitation

It helps to have a new constitution

Loving and fighting can be seen the same

Only if the moments own reason

After the smoke clears we should know patience and when to really lay all the cards on the table

only if absolutely necessary

It's all part of a promissory note that we will one day get to write to ourselves

If we are able to ever see the change

God Bless the young who have so early grasped this

And have heart for the old who their whole life fought for it

Another one of your poems that really spoke to me. I really liked the line, "To them I laugh and know that they have lived through their own losing chapters."
Losing chapters... well put. I've certainly had a few of those.
Great poem!
