The air is cold, you feel a chill.

You see your breath and your hairs stand up still.

The moon is covered by a cloud.

And in the distance, you hear a howl.

You start to run, fear pumping in your viens.

Then you hear a rattle of chains.

You stop dead in your tracks, ears listening still.

Then a blood curdling scream is heard, giving you a chill.

The darkness creeps among the mist.

Terror touching your spine like a gentle kiss.

One night a year this all can be found.

One night a year, it makes your heart pound.

Ghost, ghouls, zombies and more.

They will be found knocking at your door.

They come out at night, searching for a feast.

Perhaps tonight, you'll be the feast for the beast.

Death and demons rise up this night.

Wishing to give the living a fright.

Any foolish enough to go search just might.

Find that on this night, because of fear, they'll turn quite white.

Will you brave the terrors of this night?

They rise only once, such asight.

Once a year, upon the fall.

The horrors rises to wish a Happy Halloween to one and all.
