A luminous pearl shines as before

In an endless expanse of cloudy seashore...

When I was little I often would try

To stand on my head and walk on the sky

Clouds, softer than sand, welcomed my feet

And I'd collect stars while others would sleep.

Now helpful hands try to set me upright

But I feel more free in the calm of the night.

Boogeymen and monsters may come to poke fun

...

I promise I'm fine--I will wake up soon,

Yet no one has burned flying close to the moon.

As my eyes adjust to the bright light of day

In the waters of moonlight, I'll still come to play.
