I have to keep praising my God unless

I have determined to fail this test

By being confined to my flesh

So no matter what, I’ll do my best

To not be stressed

And for the mark I’ll continue to press

I’m praising until He is so impressed

That He decides He’ll go ahead and bless.

Then I will again send up praises that will reach the

North, South, East and West

Because my God deserves no less!

He puts wisdom in my head

And courage in my chest

He causes me to be set apart from all the rest

He is my Father when I’m fatherless

And my friend when I’m friendless

He is my rest when I’m restless

And my direction when I’m aimless

His anointing is my dress

His son’s name is my crest

His will I crave with zest

And

I will never cease to attest

That I am a living witness

That He is undoubtedly heads and tails above the rest!

But right now I must digress

With this quest;

Why would anyone praise a

Nameless, lifeless, senseless, witless, heartless, spiritless, loveless, big G-less God

Anyway?

But nonetheless

With the topic of praise, I must progress

With all the finesse

My God given talent can possibly possess

Because if it weren’t for Him it wouldn’t manifest

And I wouldn’t have the privilege of divine protest

Against the evil antagonist

Whose purpose is strife and distress

But because to Him my love I confess

The hope is that when I reach the pearly gates of His Great Holiness

He shall proclaim “well done and welcome home my faithful witness!!”
