A recap of last night's New York Yankees/Toronto game.

The last time the Toronto Blue Jays played the New York Yankees, the team was trounced in all three games.

Last night, however, it was the other way around.

The Jays hammered the Yanks. 11-5.

The Yankees scored first at the top of the second inning when Gio Urshela drove in Gleyber Torres with a single.

The Jays broke the game wide open in the bottom of the third inning.

Bo Bichette kicked off the five run third inning by driving in Aljandro Kirk with a single.

Teoscar Hernandez drove in Cavan Biggio with a single.

The Jays went ahead 3-1 when Randal Grichuk drove in Bichette with a single.

Then, Vladmir Guerrero Jr. hit a two run double.

The Jays scored four more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Bichette drove in Kirk with a single for the second time in the game.

Hernandez drove in Jonathan Davis with a single.

The Jays went up 8-1 when Biggio scored on a  double play.

Then, Guerrero Jr. drove in Bichette with a double.

Vladmir Guerrero Jr. had two RBI doubles last night.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Grichuk hit a solo home run.

At the top of the seventh inning, Torres scored on a ground out.

In the bottom of the seventh, Kirk hit a solo home run.

At the top of the ninth inning, Mike Tauchman hit a three run double.

Guerrero Jr. went three for three at the plate and had three RBIs.

Jay's starting pitcher, Matt Shoemaker, went three innings, allowing three hits, an earned run, two walks, and struck out a batter.

Tauchman went 1 for 1 at the plate and had three RBIs.

Yankee's starter, Michael King, went 2.2 innings, allowing five hits, five earned runs, a walk, and struck out six batters.

The two teams play again tonight.
