Floating in the warm bubble that is mama’s womb

I am absorbing a rainbow of emotions that glide

With the silvery hues of the moon

Feeling her dreams, her fears, worries, and joy magnified

I reach out, wrapping arms and legs around that cord

Tugging, pulling, wanting fervently to provide

Assurances of the unspoken kind

Metaphysical it is her body encasing our minds

Can we question these immemorial bonds

Abridging her mother, she, and I

I come from her, shape and form

But, truly, she becomes her when I am born
