Another poem from 3 years ago.

DO WE REALLY?

Do we really stop

loving those

who broke our hearts?

Do we not see

them in dreams anymore?

Do we not yearn to know,

see, or touch them any longer?

Do our hearts stop beating

when it is in anger?

Do our lips stop mumbling

theìr name,

their favorite colors,

or songs?

Do we really stop

loving those

who just can't love us back?

Tell me, cause I want to know.

Some very valid questions here. There's certainly no way of wiping out of existence someone that meant so much and caused so much pain, I think.

Thanks for reading.

I think after some relationship end, we still have some questions that will remain unanswered.

Definitely a thought-provoking piece. I believe that everyone we have ever loved, or the ones who loved us, stay with us in some way, even if it’s subliminal through the changes they brought into our lives.
Nice poem!
