I used to

I used to want you more than I thought that I would want anything else in this world.

Like a child in a candy shop,

who is seeking for help and her mother says no.

You were my muse,

my desire,

my kryptonite,

but yet your answer was still no.

I used to want to be her.

The way you adored her,I admired from afar.

Holding hands speaking secrets that only you too know.

I used to want to be the wife that you called your boo.

I used to ponder upon the childrens that we didn’t have.

The ones that had beautiful eyes and long hair taking attributes from you and I.

The pleasures that we both would have speaking about the truth.

But it changed now I say I’m grateful that I am not the girl you call your wife.

For I'm grateful that I'm not the one that you pour out your heart to.

For I'm grateful that I'm not the one that you call your boo.

For my used to has become I don’t want you or need you anymore.

For my used to has change to I’m so grateful that this love is done.

For my used to has grown to thank you Lord for I have found my strenght is in your son.

For my used to is now a song that I saying to myself.

How gracious is God for releasing me from the bondage of your love.
