"To Dream or Not to Dream"

My fluttering heart lives to celebrate that moment
When the stars in my chest will spread across the sky in an instant
Ah! But I'm falling prey to their vicious schemes
And my heart screams, to dream or not dream?

My eyes await the beautiful ending of this journey
When I'll dance in the rain while singing my poetry
My soul is losing colors but sometimes it gleams
And my empty eyes question, to dream or not to dream?

I flap my wings fiercely to break the cage of despair
The rainbow-like blood trickling down my wings is a silent prayer
To fly above the clouds is my life's only theme
And my majestic wings ask, to dream or not to dream?

I notice the flowers of hope humming a strange symphony
My dreams sing along in a voice sweet as honey
If I put myself into oblivion, will I be redeemed?
The flowers hum in my ears, to dream or not to dream?

I am but a fallen angel who lives in deep dejection
Why they try to shake the rhythm of my directions?
Do the tales of my glory threat their shallow regimes?
And my valiant spirits whisper, to dream or not to dream?

To kill my voice they break my existence into pieces
Those exquisite pieces tell story of an unfinished masterpiece
Faith nurtures my dreams and the world is still serene
I tell the odds to wait till I unfurl my magnificent dream!

Very nice work. To not dream would be a death sentence to your soul. So I say you must dare dream.
