Might wanna act like you didn't see anything...

“Honey! Go find that lighter for me? These candles won't set themselves on fire!” Mom yelled up the stairs. I stalked out of my room, through the hallway, called down to her to tell her I was on my way, and then opened up the door to my parents room. I usually wasn’t supposed to be in their room, but this time was special. Christmas was coming at a rapid pace, it being December 15, so I was anxious to poke around a bit. I quickly found the lighter on the polished dresser next to my parents huge bed, and was about to look in the closet for presents, but something under the bed caught my eye. My parents have a drape over the side of their bed, covering my view of the underneath of their bed, so when I saw that that drape was caught on something, causing a fold in the blanket, I immediately became curious and decided to investigate. I knelt down and pulled up the drape, to discover a stack of papers. I slowly peeled one away from the top of the pile, and my hands shook as I read what was written on it. I ripped through the pile, not able to believe I was actually seeing this.

But I was.

Every single one of them were Missing Person papers. All of them with my name and picture on them.
