A king or a president?

The ego-specter soaks up the praise,
As he sets about setting normal ablaze

The ghost of Mussolini haunts on T. V,
But this on is named Delusional Donny

Peasants pay homage to his superior mind,
He's obviously smarter than all mankind

Has the platform and power to make it rain,
Just ignore the fact he's clearly insane

For him, the battle ended years ago,
Between right and wrong; right blows

America'd be wise to remember this fact,
Anything that's critical of him, he distracts

By Tweeting something even more outrageous
He's the hidden danger in plain sight; contagious,

His disease is willful ignorance, a towering ego,
and a Jim Jones complex

Great poem, Mike. Coincidentally, I am currently watching a documentary about the cult, NXIVM, and couldn't help draw the conclusion that the only way anyone can support Trump is to be part of a cult. Trump has the exact personality for it.

It's definitely a cult, and he's a cult leader; thing is, he sucks at it; thanks, Penny

Nice on, Mike. I wonder how historians and political scientists will sum up this phase of American politics. A nation divided and a leader who cares for nothing other than power.
