What if

what if I died yesterday

would anyone miss me today

what if I died yesterday

and never said goodbye

would you hate me because

I just wanted the pain to stop

what if I died yesterday

would you forget who I was

would you want to forget me today

what if I died yesterday

would you say good riddance

if you saw me lying there

no heartbeat or pulse

just a cold empty stare

what if I died yesterday

would you cry like I did

every single night

because today is today

and the memories wouldn't quit

what if I died yesterday

would you see my scars

and wish you had noticed

how much pain I endured today

what if I die tomorrow
