Templeton Rosewood is in her house.
She is scared of the moon, as its supernatural force consumes her.

Templeton Rosewood glanced at the moon that was outside her house. She pondered on the shadows; she was thinking about the dark; she was thinking about the rats in the dim, cobwebbed, attic. The teeth gnashed on the bones of the dead girl, ripping the flesh. Blood spilled downward onto the bottom.

She was disoriented.

By Midnight, the shadows of the rats were roaming the coffins of the dead people inside the house; coffins that weren't vampiric in nature; dead people were few, and far between the darkness, and the light, in the Lower Manhattan house where the moon watched like a sentry on patrol in the jail cells of a prison.

Templeton watched the glass windows.

The coldness of the night gripped her in a shadowy grip.

And the words were in her mind.
