I thought I was going through

some whacked-up thing.

Cut my finger,

I thought I’d imagined seeing blood.

Hit the back wall opposite

weights I had no problem lifting.

I hid it, of course;

I didn’t want to draw attention

right away.

The ropes!

Fallen angel -

how could I not have seen?
